Matt Boismier was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, where he began drawing and never stopped. He studied 3 years of traditional artwork and CG animation at St Clair College in Windsor. This is where he learned that he didn’t actually want to animate for a career, but rather, to design the shows that his peers would eventually animate. Matt’s experience as an animator, freelance illustrator, and an award winning caricature artist has played a large role in his artwork, today, as a visual development artist and an art director for the animation industry. His specialty is as a character designer, creating believable, relatable and often attractive characters, but his passion lies in depicting women in their natural elements and skin. Matt is currently living in Vancouver and working as an art director at DHX Media and doing visual development for studios internationally.
